YANKEE DUDE WINS AT LINGFIELD

YANKEE DUDE continued our fine 2-year-old strike rate on Saturday, when he became our fourth individual to WIN the for Jim and Claire Ltd and the team.

Having run an extremely promising race at Yarmouth on racecourse debut where he finished third only beaten a length, this 2-year-old colt by Starspangledbanner headed to Lingfield this time to run in the Pete Worlock EBF Novice Stakes over 7 furlongs.

Yankee Dude travelled really strongly under Eddy Greatrex, but showed a bit of greenness coming into the home turn, lugging out wide round the bend and giving away plenty of ground. However, on straightening up he was able to really extend and use his stride, making  good headway inside the final furlong and keeping on well to win readily by a length.

Yankee Dude now looks a really exciting prospect who will only keep improving for experience- Warren is in discussions with Jim and Claire as to where he goes next.- watch this space!
