THEYSEEKHIM THERE WINS ON CHASING DEBUT!

Storm Darragh nearly put a halt to all our runners this weekend, but happily Huntingdon yesterday was able to able to go ahead, meaning that THEYSEEKHIMTHERE could make his Chasing Debut!

THEYSEEKHIMTHERE or ‘BIG JOHN’ as he is affectionately known in the yard, lined up in the trustatrader.com Handicap Chase over 2m 7f, and partnered by James Bowen, the pair showed great grit and determination to stay on strongest and WIN by 2 lengths.

The real winter conditions played to Theyseekhimthere’s strength and stamina, and whilst his jumping was at times a little bit novicey, it did not interfere with his rhythm, great long stride and determination to win. He galloped up the home straight with his head down and his ears back, and it was great to see him rewarded just so.

Well done to owners the BadJams5 Syndicate who bought Theyseekhimthere as a Store Horse, knowing that he would need time and patience to allow him to  fill his very tall frame. Their patience has paid off previously with a win over Hurdles, and now he is now well and truly on his way to being a true Staying Chaser and there is no doubt plenty more to come from him.

Also well done to Beth who looks after Big John, and also rides him everyday at home, he has truly grown in confidence on the gallops this year, and Beth has definitely played her part in that.
