GAELIC PRIDE made the perfect start under rules when WINNING the starsportsbet.co.uk Open Maiden NH Flat Race over 2m 1f at Fontwell on Sunday under a confident ride from Harry Cobden.

Purchased by Warren and Tess from the Goffs Newbury Sale in November, it didn’t take long for Sally & Allen Franklin, Rick Gurney and Graeme Love to form the Franklin & Gurney Partnership and make Gaelic Pride their own.

A previous point-to-point winner in Ireland, Gaelic Pride put his experience to good use on Sunday, racing prominently throughout the race and staying really strongly in testing conditions to come home in front by 3 and three-quarter lengths. This 5 year old son of Kool Kompany showed a fantastic attitude and will to win, and is sure provide his owners with plenty of fun for many years to come.

Well done to all the team at home, who have been working hard all season, and have now helped us reach our highest number of winners in a NH Season since 2019- onwards and upwards!
