SCHOOLING
The season is really starting to draw near now, and it was great to get over 20 horses schooled last week on the Lambourn Gallops All-Weather Strip.
The horses all schooled beautifully (and enthusiastically!), and it is great to see them enjoying their jobs so much.
Let the season begin!
BACK OF THE HILL

As the schooling steps up, so does the fitness work. The horses have now done enough baseline fitness to start doing some more serious exercise. The Back Of The Hill is a fantastic gallop, a mile long, with an increasing incline, you can get a good blow into a horse without having to go very fast. Last week the horses were just going a strong canter all the way through, and will build up to pieces of work during the season.
