GILET WINS AT LINGFIELD

 In Latest News

Continuing the fantastic form of our two-year-old runners, GILET was the latest to get his head in front at Lingfield last Thursday.

Having hit the cross-bar and finished second on his previous two starts, this time Gilet put his experience to good use, and stayed on strongly under Charlie Bishop to WIN the Raceday Ready Restricted Maiden Stakes over 6 furlongs by half a length. The way Gilet went through the race suggests that he could improve again for a step up in trip, and so there is plenty more to come from this son of Coulsty.

Gilet is the third individual from our small string of 2-year-olds to come out and win, with Dear Cat also a winner and Ruff Justice gaining 2 wins to her name before sustaining an injury when finishing third in a competitive race at Newmarket. Indeed, we have a 17% Win strike-rate with our 2-year-olds, with plenty more still to run, which is really impressive! This has been a venture Warren has really enjoyed, along with owners Jim and Claire Ltd, and we look forward to seeing what the rest of the string can do.

In the meantime, the NH string are all back in action and their work is being upped week by week, we have a good amount of new horses to add to the string, and we look to have a really nice bunch to go to war with- exciting times all-round!
