JARAMILLO WINS OVER FENCES

JARAMILLO has been a firm favourite at Rhonehurst since his arrival with us in October 2021. He is a huge character who can run both on the Flat and over obstacles- being a previous winner over Hurdles- and now the latest feather in his cap is a WIN over fences on only the third time of asking!

Having run solidly and jumped really well in his previous 2 starts over fences, we knew it would only be a matter of time before he got off the mark over the larger obstacles- and that day came last Thursday at Newton Abbot where he was partnered by James Bowen. Lining up against only 2 other rivals in the Weatherbys Scientific Handicap Chase over 2m 5f, Jaramillo put on his usual sound display of jumping whilst travelling very comfortably throughout the race. Taking up the lead 3 from home, Jaramillo positively sprinted clear of his opposition and stayed on strongly to come home in front by an impressive 12 lengths!

Well done to his Owners Group Syndicate Members, some of whom had made the trip to Newton Abbot and were delighted to be in the Winners Enclosure and on the podium to collect their prize!
