KEEP RUNNING WINS AT FFOS LAS
KEEP RUNNING made it back-to-back wins over fences when he headed to Ffos Las on Saturday to run in the DragonBet App Handicap Chase (Class 3) over 2 miles.
This time ridden by James Bowen, Keep Running made light work of the testing ground, making all from flag fall and jumping with his usual exuberance to come home easily in front by 5 lengths. This horse seems to have gone from strength to strength since being given a wind operation at the end of last season, and with relatively low mileage on the clock, there is surely plenty more fun to be had with him.
Congratulations again to owner Mrs Julie Fowler, who adores her horses and knows their characters really well as she has them home for their summer break each year. Keep Running is definitely a character and a joy to have around the yard and in the string!
Aside from having a winner, the best news of the day was that Saunton Surf got up all OK from her fall at the last hurdle in one of the previous races, where racing was delayed to give her time to get her breath back and get to her feet. She is bright and well and back at home and will be given plenty of time to get over her fall.
