MIRACLEOFTHEANDES AND GRAND PIER ARE WINNERS

MIRACLEOFTHEANDES WINS AT WOLVERHAMPTON

We had another fantastic week last week with two more winners on the flat!

MIRACLEOFTHEANDES kicked things off last Wednesday when she headed to Wolverhampton to line up in the attheraces Confined Handicap over 6 furlongs partnered by Eddy Greatrex.

This relatively light- raced filly showed some real promise as a 2 year-old and has done nothing but grow and strengthen over the winter. She ran really well on her seasonal reappearance and then just needed a couple of runs to find her feet in handicap company. This time, Eddy gave Miracleoftheandes a really positive ride and sent her into the lead from the start, and the pair did not see another rival until they crossed the winning line!

This run will have given Miracleoftheandes loads of confidence, and she is sure to build on this performance going forwards for owners Jim and Claire Ltd.

GRAND PIER WINS AT FFOS LAS

We didn’t have to wait long for our next winner, as GRAND PIER headed to FFos Las on Thursday to line up in the EX1 Digital Apprentice Handicap 1m 2f partnered by Harry Vigors, who was taking a useful 3lbs off his back.

Having run really well on his previous appearance at Ffos Las and only just being denied the win, it was brilliant to see Grand Pier win in such emphatic style! Harry settled Grand Pier at the back of the field for the most part of the race and then slowly started to make progress through the field 3 furlongs from home, taking up the lead in the last furlong and then bounding clear to win by 5 lengths!

Well done to owners The Spero Partnership Ltd, who don’t have to wait long to see Grand Pier back on the track again, as he heads to Southwell on Thursday after coming out of the race in fantastic form!
