NOBLE GRACE WINS AT PONTEFRACT

NOBLE GRACE has gone from strength to strength since making the switch to the flat, and made her way back to the Winners Enclosure on her latest run at Pontefract.

This homebred mare of the Crawford-Smith Family’s has the most fantastic attitude which she put to good use when stepping up to run over 2m 2f in the Always Trying Racing Syndicate Handicap under jockey Eddy Greatrex.
The pair settled at the back of the field throughout the race and had to be really patient to wait for a gap to appear in the home straight. Once the opportunity came, Noble Grace positively took off to pass all her rivals and stayed on strongly to win by one and a quarter lengths.

Noble Grace will be gaining in confidence all the time, and we can’t wait to see her on track again very soon.

JET OF DREAMS WINS AT SEDGEFIELD

JET OF DREAMS headed back to his beloved Sedgefield to run in the Jodie Standings Point-to-Point recruits Handicap Chase over 2 miles. He was ridden by our new Conditional Jockey Richard Upton, who joined us in July having previously got a good amount of experience in point-to-points as well as riding under rules as an Amateur Jockey.

Richard currently claims a useful 10lbs for us, and he and Jet Of Dreams wasted no time in putting that claim to good use! Jet Of Dreams travelled and jumped with his usual enthusiasm and the pair took up the lead 2 fences from home and kept on strongly to fend of a challenge from their nearest rival, ultimately coming home in front by three-quarters of a length.

This was Jet Of Dreams third victory at Sedgefield- and hopefully there will be plenty more wins to come for his owners The Stewkley Shindiggers!

JARAMILLO WINS AT HEREFORD

Richard Upton didn’t have to wait long for his second winner as a Conditional Jockey,  as last Tuesday he partnered JARAMILLO in the Betting.bet Handicap Hurdle over 2m 3f at Hereford.

Yard favourite Jaramillo is certainly an opinionated and talented horse, who can put in some fantastic performances when he feels like it! This was the second time Richard had ridden Jaramillo, having previously got on very well with him at Stratford in September to finish third. This time the race fell perfectly for Jaramillo, who travelled strongly thorughout and came to lead 2 hurdles from home, before keeping on strongly all the way up the run in to come home 8 and a half lengths ahead of his nearest rival!

It is great to see Jaramillo get his head in front again for his loyal syndicate members Owners Group and it is also brilliant to see Richard get off to such a good start as a Conditional Jockey- he will certainly be kept busy with plenty of rides this season- and hopefully plenty more winners!
