SAINT ARGENTE KEEPS UP HIS PERFECT RECORD

SAINT ARGENTE maintained his unbeaten record when he headed to Ascot on Saturday to line up in the Class 2 Open NH Flat Race over 2 miles. With James Bowen unfortunately on the sidelines, Saint Argente was this time partnered by the very capable Sam Twiston-Davies who gave him a brilliant ride!

A keen- going sort, Saint Argente was settled at the back of the field for the most part of the race to enable him to save his energy for a late-race attack. The pair started making headway 5 furlongs from home, and made smooth progress through the field, taking up the lead inside the final furlong and battling on strongly to come home in front a length and a quarter ahead of the second horse.

Saint Argente has shown himself to be a really exciting type and will no doubt give owner Mr Scott Turner plenty of good days ahead at the races. The plan will now be for Saint Argente to progress to hurdling, his schooling has been very good at home and it will be exciting to see what he can do over obstacles on the track.
