STARAKOVA WINS AT SOUTHWELL

The eagle-eyed followers among you will have noticed that we have a new yard sponsor www.fairplaybet.co.uk.
We partnered up with this fantastic company on 1st August, and we are delighted to have had 2 winners under their sponsorship banner already!

STARAKOVA backed up her current run of good form when getting another win under her belt- this time a Southwell under Harry Vigors, who claimed a useful 5lbs off her back.

Starakova is a really tough filly who always puts her best foot forwards, and so it is brilliant to see her making the most of her mark and bringing her owners Howard Sutton Molony Weller Cowles a bit of fun along the way!
She is sure to have another win up her sleeve before the summer is over.

ORCHARD WINS AT LINGFIELD

The ultra consistent ORCHARD made his return to the Winners Enclosure on Saturday when digging deep to win at Lingfield under Luke Morris.

For those of you who don’t know, Orchard suffered a pelvic injury at Newbury in June of 2025, just as he was starting to fulfill his potential as a racehorse. Very fortunately, the injury was not career- ending and we were able to give him the time to heal and rehabilitate properly in order to give him the very best chance of getting back to the track again.

He returned to racing in June of 2026, showing the same ability he always had done, and also the same honest will to win. It was therefore really special to see him get his head back in front after a string of placed efforts this season.

Orchard should gain in confidence from this and there is still plenty more to come from him. Thank you to owners Jim and Claire for giving Orchard all the time he needed to get back to his best, and well done to all the team at home for getting him back on top form!
